The Lee College Art Gallery is built on the conviction that great art has the power to change the way people see the world. More than a place to display artwork, the Lee College Art Gallery invites every visitor to pause, look closely, and discover that every work of art has a story to tell, a question to ask, or a door waiting to be opened.
As an extension of Lee College's educational mission, the Lee College Art Gallery connects students and the community with the living practice of the visual arts. By bringing together artists, audiences, and ideas from across the region and beyond, the gallery creates experiences that linger long after visitors leave its walls. The Baytown Area High School Mentor Show is the current exhibition in the gallery, showcasing artwork by instructors and their students from six local high schools.
A closing reception will be held 5-7 p.m. Sat., Aug. 22.
